In The Dishwasher
Vinegar is superb for getting rid of tough spots, stains and grime. You can use it in your regular dish washing cycle. Just fill the detergent container with vinegar. To get an even better wash, you can put a bowl of vinegar on the top rack and run the dishwasher. Your dishes will come out clean and fresh smelling.
With Your Dishes
If you have some dishes with really stubborn food encrusted on them, then you can use vinegar to get rid of it. Just soak your pots and pans overnight in a mixture of vinegar and water. Use about half vinegar and half water. In the morning, the grime will come off easily, and your dishes will be cleaner than ever. It could be a great way to get rid of spots and encrusted food that you haven’t been able to remove before.
In The Microwave
Microwaves are a pain to clean. It can be difficult to scrub at the walls and ceiling of the microwave and get rid of food that is stuck everywhere. While it may be simple to heat up a bowl of water to make food easier to wipe off, vinegar works even better. Just a small bowl of vinegar will do. Let it microwave for about 1-2 minutes, then everything will be a breeze to wipe off. This even works with really stubborn stains and spots, as the vinegar will soak the entire microwave and loosen everything up.
Oven racks are some of the toughest parts of your home to clean. They get encrusted with some very tough bits of food. The burnt bits of food are incredibly hard to clean off, even with oven cleaner. But vinegar is all you need to get them clean.
Just set the oven racks in a tub or basin and fill with a mixture of vinegar and water. Use about one cup of vinegar to every gallon of water. You should let them soak for at least a few hours, and after they have soaked, you should be able to wipe the oven racks clean with ease.
To Clean Shower Grime
Mould and other build up in your shower can be tough to clean. A lot of sprays won’t really do the trick and get rid of the grime completely. But you can use a vinegar solution that will work wonders.
Just fill a spray bottle one third of the way with vinegar and two thirds of the way with water. Add in a few squirts of dishwashing liquid and you will have a powerful spray. This can be used to quickly and easily get rid of any shower build up.
